This Munich beer, named Spaten, comes from the Spaeth family, who acquired the brewery in the 17th century.The brewery's symbol is a malt shovel and the two letters next to it are G and S, the initials of the first brewer: Gabriel Sedlmayr. It is a brewery with a long tradition and an undisputed reputation, where beer has always been brewed according to the German Purity Law.
In the glass, this beer has a yellow-orange colour and a thin white head. On the nose, it reveals aromas of malt, spices and fruit. On the palate, it is light with an alcohol content of 5.2%, with flavours of malt, hops, spices, yeast and fruit, and is also an excellent thirst quencher.
